Dr. Abramowitz charges $160 for  therapy appointments. Many insurance plans cover mental health services. Some plans require pre-certification before they will pay for services; some have deductibles that must be met before insurance payments begin. Please contact your insurance company to determine what your policy covers and how to access services. Our policy requires patients to pay for services at the time they are provided. We will accept a copay once insurance coverage has been determined.

Marital and Premarital Therapy

Insurance companies do not pay for marital therapy, as they require sessions identify a single patient with a mental health diagnosis. For this reason I do not bill insurance for marital therapy. I conduct marital therapy on a self-pay basis. Sessions are $160 per session.

Dr. Abramowitz has contracted with several insurance plans to provide coverage for members.  A partial list includes:

Blue Cross/Blue Shield
Carolina Behavioral Health Alliance
Value Options

He can also provide services out of network with other plans.

Dr. Abramowitz has office hours Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 6 PM. The office is staffed with a receptionist most days from 8AM to 3 PM who can gather essential information and schedule appointments. You may leave a voice mail when the receptionist is not on duty. We will make every effort to schedule your appointment at a convenient time for you. Appointments are 55 minutes long and may be scheduled as often as necessary.
